PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari (PNEP) was established in April 1992 in Ambon City, Maluku, which is engaged in People's and Nusantara Shipping with a 100 dwt Landing Craft Tank (LCT) named LCT EKA.

Until early 2000, PNEP focused on providing logistics solutions to eastern Indonesia, particularly in Maluku and Papua, and in 2002 there was an additional LCT fleet called EFILYA.

Recognizing the need for repair & maintenance in the shipping business, in 2005 an affiliated shipyard company was established in Samarinda, and a shipyard company in Gresik in 2012. This gave PNEP a competitive advantage for docking and providing ready-to-serve ships for satisfied customers.

PNEP continues to grow and develop as well as innovate, in 2007 was able to build and operate the first aluminum vessel and received its first offshore contract in 2009 at PT Total E & P Indonesia.

Currently, PNEP owns and operates more than 100 (one hundred) units of various fleets consisting of Crewboats, Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels (AHTS), Platform Support Vessels (PSV), Utility Vessels & Specialized Vessels.

With the support of the above fleet, PNEP can provide services in the field of ship rental, offshore work, logistics, Engineering Procurement Construction, and Training & Development.

Currently, PNEP has its head office in Surabaya, East Java, has 5 (five) regional & maintenance offices, a Training Center, and Shipyard Company Affiliates that can provide Capably and Reliable Services based on Safe, Reliable, and Efficient, in providing Sustainable Total Marine Solutions.
