Indonesian citizen, 37 years old, an alumnus of Curtin University, Perth Australia is the First Millennial Generation from the Founding Father of PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari. Forged with discipline & independence where since high school has been given the task and responsibility to study in Australia to get a Bachelor of Engineering at Curtin University.

Returning to Indonesia in 2006 Eka Taniputra did not get privileges but immediately learned and worked about the intricacies of docking and shipping in the city of Timika, Irian Jaya. In 2008 he was given the mandate as Director of the Company, and after 5 (five) years he was appointed as President Director until now.

Previously, he was also trusted and served as President Director at PT Eka Multi Bahari, President Director at Global Eka Marine, and President Director at PT Ohana Multi Gemilang. In addition, Eka Taniputra also serves as a Commissioner at PT Eka Multi Bahari since 2019 until now.

Eka Taniputra made a strategic step by making changes to the vessel material from the Company's previous core business from the majority of ships made of iron and Fiber, since 2006 - 2007 in collaboration with Alucraft Pty Ltd (Australia) to make Aluminum vessels where prototypes have been used by various industries in Indonesia. Indonesia includes oil and gas, mining, and ports.

With the discipline of Engineering, Eka managed to build the SHIMOS and PROMISE systems which were developed for the internal operational area. SHIMOS is an integrated vessel tracking system that is installed on ships and is used to monitor all ship activities and operations starting from ship movement, fuel consumption, and ship performance in real-time and can be monitored online via laptops and even cellphones.

While PROMISE is a website-based application that functions to manage and integrate various operational activities within KCT GROUP with the aim of providing reporting on various operational activities in all subsidiaries from Shipyard, Shipping, Logistics, Finance, and Tenders to Human Resources and General Affairs.

The culmination of a strategic step in the Company's progress and development efforts, in 2017 Eka Taniputra moved the Company's head office from Ambon city to Surabaya city with the mission of making the Company a Total Marine Solution and developing into a national and international company.
